Chivari’s 5-step finishing process ensures our farmhouse tables and benches are stronger, more beautiful, and more resilient than others.

• Step 1 - Sanding
  We carefully sand the surface to create a flawless foundation, removing imperfections and preparing the wood for a superior finish.
• Step 2 - Staining
  We apply a premium stain by hand, enhancing the wood’s natural grain and adding a rich, vibrant hue.
• Step 3 - Polyurethane primer coats
  The table is sealed with two coats of commercial-grade polyurethane, providing a durable barrier against scratches, moisture, and daily wear .
• Step 4 - Sanding
  After curing, the surface is lightly sanded again to ensure a perfectly smooth finish.
• Step 5 - Polyurethane Clear Coats
  Finally, the table is completed with two coats of polyurethane clear coat, delivering a stunning luster and an extra layer of protection, making it as resilient as it is beautiful.

Maintenance and Care

Our Farm Tables also known as Linenless Tables* require some basic care and maintenance to ensure it retains its natural beauty and luster.

• The stain on our farm table is an oil based stain which helps to repel moisture.
• Some red wine, beverages, and food may leave water marks on the tabletop.
• You can clean the tables with a water-based cleaner.  We recommend commonly available wood furniture protectors such as Pledge, Minwax, etc.
• It’s recommended that you clean then cover your tables after use.

*These tables are sometimes referred to as Linenless Tables because they are naturally beautiful.  They don’t need linens to look great.  You may not want to use a linen as the linen will hide the natural beauty of the table.  Some customers like to add linens under heavy use to protect the table from scratches and stains.  Ultimately, the choice is yours.

– When not in use, store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
– If possible, keep it in a protective case or cover when not in use outdoors.

2. Cleaning:
– Clean regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dirt and debris.
– For tougher stains, use a mild soap solution and rinse thoroughly.
– Avoid abrasive cleaners or scrubbers that may scratch the surface.

3. Sun Protection:
– Limit prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent color fading.
– If used outdoors, place in shaded areas when possible.

4. Temperature Considerations:
– While weatherproof, avoid extreme temperature fluctuations.
– In very hot weather, provide shade or bring indoors during peak heat hours.

5. Inspection:
– Regularly inspect for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage.
– If you notice any issues, address them promptly to prevent further deterioration.

6. Handling:
– Despite its durability, handle with care to avoid unnecessary impacts or drops.
– Use both hands when moving or repositioning the chair.

7. Avoid Harsh Chemicals:
– Do not use solvents, bleach, or other harsh chemicals for cleaning or maintenance.

Our limited warranty ensures furniture is free from defects in materials and craftsmanship for the specified period, covering the original purchaser only. It excludes damage from misuse, improper maintenance, normal wear and tear, or environmental factors.
